Last night I went out and stalked the {slightly less than} full moon over Bayfield. The fish tugs were at the docks while I was waiting, so I got some great shots of them in the ice with their furnaces running. The moon was pure gold as it came up over Madeline Island. I forgot my tripod in the rush to get out of my house, so I just tried not to shiver, and shot most of these at ISO 6400
. The last photo is the view of Lake Superior in the moonlight from my backyard. I love living here – its in the middle of NOWHERE, but its gorgeous!
