Book Across the Bay in Black & White

I had the pleasure of photographing the Book Across the Bay this past weekend – and I’ll be posting lots of photos soon, but I wanted to share this one in particular.  Its the after party in Washburn – complete with fireworks, a live band, and a bonfire.  Who wouldn’t want that after skiing or snowshoeing 10 kilometers over the Chequamegon Bay and Lake Superior?!  By the way this was handheld at a 1/5th of a second – and I am TERRIFIED of fireworks, so I’m pretty proud of myself for actually pulling this off ;) .
