Rainy Beauty – Katie & Matt’s Dillman’s Bay Resort Wedding

Katie & Matt’s wedding at Dillman’s Bay Resort on Sand Lake Lac Du Flambeau started out with a definite threat of rain, but cleared up just in time for the ceremony. It then proceeded to pour for a large part of the tented reception – making for some very cool light!  The resort is such an awesome spot for a self contained wedding in Northern Wisconsin – Katie & Matt got married on the point jutting out into Sand Lake, and then had their reception in a tent up on the main grounds of the resort.  They and all their guests got to spend the whole weekend in small cabins throughout the resort, so no one had to drive anywhere during the wedding weekend.

Two of my favorite moments of the wedding where when Katie & her dad are laughing extremely hard about something right before the ceremony started (I’m not sure what it was – Barb got that photo, and it makes me laugh every time I see it!).  The other part was when Matt drove Katie in circles in their boat for about half an hour.  We weren’t sure if they were coming back .

Congratulations to you both, Katie & Matt!  Barb and I had such an amazing time at your wedding in Northern Wisconsin.
