graffiti image from the texas eagle

Blogging from the train- an Amtrak experiment.

I took the Texas Eagle from Dallas to Chicago so I could do some writing on the way home from Texas. Well, writing and people watching!

This is total experiment, but I shot some GalaxyS4 images on my trip back up from Forth Worth, and now I’ve edited them on my phone with vscocam. I like to try new things and stretch my creative muscle on the road, and this seemed like the perfect way to do it.

You get to see some very interesting industrial things on the way through the Midwest corridor.  I love that I got to get the Arch in St Louis in the same shot as Busch Stadium, along with some terrific graffiti in Dallas, and farms in Illinois.

The shelter session and my shoots in Fort Worth were absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to share the images. In the meantime, enjoy some random images from my point of view (and from a moving train :)).

Love the St Louis shot! Lived there from ’73 – ’80!! Great town! Great restaurants! Been up in that arch plenty of times!

    Hanna,

You have a remarkable eye. These photos are wonderful. If you can make the old buildings look good you might even be able to make me look presentable.

    Cheers,

Wonderful pics! These should be on Amtrak’s marketing collateral.
